Surajit Moira has always been a meritorious student. He completed 04 years of B.Tech (Bachelor in Technology) course in Electronics and Communication Engineering. Immediately after passing out he got employment in Tata Consultancy Services, one of the leading Information technology companies in the country. Surajit lost his father at a very early age and his mother reared him up single handed, working as a domestic help in three four houses. Surajit ‘s desire is to study further to do masters in solar technology as well as to buy an apartment and to take away his mother from the shanty they live in. Also, he wants to give her relief from the drudgery she has gone through all along his life.
Sahina Shah, now a young girl in her 20s was so delighted as her dream came true when she got a job in a reputed cancer centre & research institute in the city. Sahina, a timid but sincere girl had always been extra ordinary good in her studies. She is the eldest of the three siblings in her family residing in a small room. Her father has a book binding machine at home and managing the family with his meager income. Amidst all the odds she was determined to excel in her life. She completed her Master’s Degree in Bio-Technology with first class marks from a renowned institute of our country. Immediately after completing her course she got the job as a Laboratory Technician in a molecular diagnostic laboratory in a cancer hospital. She is now preparing for pursuing doctoral degree.
Prasenjit, a timid and quiet boy always excelled in studies. He secured first division marks in High School Leaving examination. He got through the State level entrance examination for engineering studies and took admission in an engineering college. He studied four years Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) course in Electronics and Electrical Engineering. He got selected by a reputed Information Technology Company through Campus Interview. After completion of the course he joined the service and now earning quite handsome salary. His job not only changed his life but brought enormous change in the life of the entire family. Prasenjit’s father was working as a helper in a small private firm on a daily wage basis. It was quite difficult to manage the family expenses of four with his meager earning; hence Prasenjit’s mother took up a work of a care giver to the patients, elderly people to manage the financial crisis of the family. Prasenjit and his younger brother had to spend a very challenging life in their childhood. The family has built a new house in a suburban area and moved from the scanty where they used to live. Prasenjit said “ I always thought of moving out of this slum to a healthier and clean place. Today my dream has fulfilled.” Prasenjit’s life is inspiring to all our present generation students that ‘where there is a will there is a way’.
Pallabi Mondal, a young enterprising girl in her mid twenties, very proudly informed that she has got a job of her own choice. Now she is staying in a separate apartment with her mother. She is determined to take care of her aging mother, who used to toil very hard to rear up her three children. Pallabi’s father passed away at her young age and her mother started working as domestic help to make ends meet. Pallabi was always good in academics. After clearing her High School leaving exam, she decided to pursue a skill development course so that she could get job easily. She took admission in a reputed paramedical training centre and did a two years Diploma Course in Medical Laboratory Technician. Now she has been recruited by a company in a Government Premier Hospital in the city and working as an Operation Theatre Assistant. She was looking self- satisfied and confident to face challenges whatever comes in her way. She is now engaged with a young professional and planning to get married in a year. Bustee Welfare Centre is truly proud of her success and wishes good for her future life.
Madhusudan Shit has got an appointment in the Audit & Accounts Service of the Government of West Bengal. He appeared for the recruitment test of Public Service Commission and got selected. Very few people got through the Government recruitment test and Madhusudan is the one of them. It is a result of his diligence and long struggle. Madhusudan has always been a meritorious student. He studied up to Masters Degree in Commerce Stream. He started working as a private tutor as soon as he took admission in college. With the support from Bustee Welfare Centre and with his own little earning he continued his education. His father, a security guard was looking so content with his son’s success.
